OBA Showcase Makes Stop In Fort Wayne This Weekend

 The OBA Showcase tour makes its next appearance in Fort Wayne, Indiana as 16 teams will compete in a 1-Game exhibition. 

The OBA Led by Former WNBA baller Tamara  Moore, has been on a mission to make the league one of the best in the country.

With over 40 teams in the Organization, the OBA has exploded by leaps and bounds. 

In the preseason,  The OBA has implemented some Showcase events which have made stops in Texas and Minnesota. This weekend it's in Fort Wayne, one of the top minor league locations for hoop. 

Fort Wayne is home to the Fort Wayne Fury, who will be playing on Sunday night at 7pm.

The season will kick off in April, so most teams are trying to looking to make a final push for the start of the season.

"We're very excited about the 2021 season, and these showcases are important to showing our fanbase that we are on schedule to us having our season" Moore stated.

Its Official: Iowa Elite gets #1 pick in Draft Selection Show; 1st Round Recap, Final Tryout Info

In the first ever OBA Draft Selection Show, there were 27 teams who would be hoping to get the top pick in this Inaugural season on the first day in 2020.
Once the selections were made?

It was the Iowa Elite who were the ones to have their name called last, as the Elite sit atop the OBA Draft, which will launch LIVE on February 1st.

The Selection Show, hosted by League Owner and former WNBA hooper Tamara Moore, was done on Facebook Live and had plenty of drama to boot.

The Elite, owned by Larry Mason Jr, was pleased to have the #1 selection, knowing the first pick could be crucial to the teams overall success.

The first pick came down to Iowa Elite and Arlington Bulldogs, and once the Bulldogs were selected #2?
Iowa Elite would celebrate the top pick.

OBA League Tryouts Jumps Off in Kansas City This Weekend; 29 Teams on Tap this Season

The Official Basketball Association is ready to Launch this weekend as they get ready for its Inaugural Season.

First OBA Tryout is in Kansas City

 With 29 Teams in the League, the OBA is looking to send a statement to not only the NBA, but to the G-League and other professional leagues all over the world as well.
 What is the statment, you ask?

 The first OBA Combine will be held in Kansas City at the Hyvee Arena on Saturday,  September 21st from 2pm-6pm.

Initially,  Tamara Moore,  the former LA Sparks and Minnesota Lynx hooper and CEO of the league, wanted 24 teams, but decided to accommodate a few more teams since the logistics were solid enough to bring in more teams than the goal.

OBA Combine Schedule 

 While Moore knows that running a 29-Team League will be one of her hardest tasks ever, she has put together a great group of people to help her with the structure and running of the OBA.

New Acquisitions of Teams Push League Total to 17

The OBA added 4 more Organizations to its League this week:

The Indiana Fury,

Chicago Knights

With the 4 big additions in the last week the League Team Total is at 17.

  President Tamara Moore has a goal as far as maximum teams, so it'll be interesting to see if the goal is achieved sooner or later.

Training Camps Start Next Month - First in Kansas City Area
